The Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival was developed by the Home for Cooperation team in 2014, with the idea of providing a platform to question sensitive topics, expressing ideas in new and creative ways.
In its First edition, Buffer Fringe took place in the Medieval Moat behind the Home for Cooperation between the 17th and 19th of October 2014. The Festival was initiated with the aim of bringing many performing artists, small theatre companies, organisations companies, and many other actors from both communities together. It was organized as a multicultural event and created the opportunity for theatre groups and actors to present their creative works in the Buffer Zone. Theatre groups/actors had to opportunity to apply to the festival with their previously staged works. The open call included additional performances that were hosted during the festival with no extra costs burdening the teams in terms of technical support, promotional material, stage and place setting.
In this first edition of Buffer Fringe, 14 groups performed in the Festival with 15 performances.
