More than 50 years ago the villages of Varishia and Selemani, in the Troodos mountains area, were left abandoned by their original inhabitants.
Today, a new kind of inhabitant has settled there…
Workshop Schedule:
3 PM: Opening of the exhibition “The Mouflon Project”, an audio-visual research on the past and present inhabitants of the villages of Varishia and Selemani in the Cyprus Buffer Zone.
6 PM: refreshments provided by The Home Cafe
7 PM: open debate on the possibilities and side-effects of the collateral greening conservation that is taking place in the Buffer Zone.
The Mouflon Project is a Culture Moves Europe project. It is made by the group of Italian multimedia artists Lorenzo Faggi, Chiara Campara, Simone Lombardi, Matteo Ninni, in collaboration with Urban Gorillas Nicosia, UNFICYP, Home for Cooperation.
