2025 Educational City Walks Training

Applications are now open for the 2025 Educational City Walks course. The event is co-organized by the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and the Home for Cooperation (H4C) and will take place at the Home for Cooperation (opposite the Ledra Palace hotel, Nicosia) on 4, 5 and 12 July 2025.

Educational city walks provide a unique opportunity to engage with the urban environment and can create an open and stimulating learning space in which to explore a city, its people and history. This course seeks to provide participants with the theoretical foundation and practical skills to design and lead educational walks and is aimed at those who wish to incorporate city walks in their research or educational practice. This training is also a pre-requisite for joining the AHDR / H4C pool of educational walks facilitators.

The course includes presentations/discussions with experts, on-site visits, mutual learning exercises and individual work. Participants will be introduced to a pool of resources they can draw on to research and design their walks, as well as a growing network of researchers, educators, and walks facilitators.
