The Home for Cooperation has implemented the “bi-communal Europe Direct Centre” project, under the name Europe Direct Ledra Palace Area, for the period 2022 and 2025.
Europe Direct Nedir?
Europe Direct Ledra, 28 AB üye ülkesinde 400'den fazla merkezi olan ve AB Komisyonu'nun maddi desteğiyle oluşturulmuş pan-Avrupa ağının bir parçasıdır. ED Ledra, Tarihsel Diyalog ve Araştırma Derneği (AHDR) tarafından yönetilmekte olup, Dayanışma Evi’nin bir parçası olarak Ledra Palace Geçiş noktasındaki ara bölgede bulunmaktadır.
Merkezin genel amacı, adadaki AB vatandaşlarını, Birlik içindeki hakları ve onlara sunulan fırsatlar hakkında bilgilendirmektir. Ara bölgedeki özgün konumuyla ED Ledra, AB vatandaşlığının yararları hakkında farkındalığı arttırmak ve AB değerlerini ve ilkelerini teşvik etmek için Kıbrıs’ta ki tüm topluluklara yönelik çalışmaktadır. Europe Direct Ledra Palace Bölgesi
The mission of Europe Direct Ledra Palace Area, in accordance with that of the Europe Direct Information Centres network, has been to inform European citizens about the EU, in particular about the rights of EU citizens and the EU’s priorities. The centre aimed to promote participatory citizenship at a local and regional level and provide information on EU legislation and how this is being implemented in Cyprus. Information on the various EU programmes, grants and funding opportunities available to individuals and organisations in Cyprus were provided so as to increase opportunities for employment and education for citizens.
Europe Direct was located in the Home Gallery Building, opposite Home for Cooperation, within the UN Buffer Zone in Nicosia. The Centre was located at the Ledra Palace crossing point between the two sides of the Green Line providing easy access to all communities of the Island. It aimed to answer your questions in person and also hosted EU publications, materials, events and gatherings, transforming the Centre into a meeting point and a shared space.
