Walking Tour and Collage Workshop Spatial memory in Nicosia and Diyarbakır
Home for Cooperation and the Truth Justice Memory Center are organising a 2-day interactive walking tour and collage workshop in Nicosia and Diyarbakır exploring spatial memory.
Interactive city tour and collage workshop will take place in Nicosia on 5-6 November and we are currently accepting registrations.Diyarbakır sessions will take place on 29-30 October and participants from both sessions will come together through a storytelling session online on the 16th of November.
Nicosia Program:
Day 1 – 5th of November – Meeting & Walking Tour: 11:00-14:00(With a 30 minute lunch)
Day 2 – 6th of November- Collage Workshop: 14:00-18:00Online Meeting – 16 November 2022 – 17:00-19:00Language: English
The project focuses on the understandings of spatial memory in post-conflict and divided cities through the cases of Nicosia and Diyarbakır inviting participants to become part of an interactive process that activates stories and memories. Walking tour and the collage workshop are the main axis of this interactive memory project to explore the stories and histories that go beyond the dominant narratives of the two cities, to understand how people reconstruct spatial memory and transform the grief that comes after conflict and displacement.
